Our mission isn't just a pretty sound bite...it's a promise!
We at The 7th Sign are committed to producing entertaining, powerful and educational work that explores current social issues. Our goal is to reach a wide range of audience members, specifically young people and others new to theater, with the hope of sparking constructive & challenging debate in our community.
We hope to achieve this through (1) selecting meaningful and relevant works, (2) engaging audiences in talk-back discussion following our shows, and (3) offering discount performances for schools and other organizations in order to reach the broad scope of our surrounding communities.
Every new season, every new production, every original play we consider, must be held to the light of our mission. The 7th Sign believes that a mission statement is more than a list of criteria--it is a mission! Our plays do not support our mission, it is the mission that is the spine of all the work we do. There is no pun in the term, "We are on a mission."
